In March of 2002 we were blessed with a horribly snowy and cold (it was well below 0 with strong winds) late winter blizzard. I spent 3 days walking and driving Minneapolis, and saw these trees on the shore of Lake Nokomis. They reminded me of an elderly couple, hence the name Grandpa & Grandma. They have since been cut down and recently replaced with a pair of baby trees. I’m waiting for another blizzard for the opportunity to capture portraits of their grandchildren.
